This is a short documentation how I use OpenVPN as a client.
For this you need to get the specific certificates from the Server Admin.
If you want to use this solution you need the following howto(s) finished:
Script for restarting the VPN-Client
#!/bin/sh PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin echo "`date` --> offline" >> /var/log/openvpn/client.status # Alles kaputt machen!!! killall -9 vpn-start.sh >/dev/null 2>&1 sleep 5 killall -9 vpn-start.sh >/dev/null 2>&1 # VPN-Client wieder starten echo "`date`" >>/tmp/vpn-start /etc/openvpn/client/vpn-start.sh >>/tmp/vpn-start 2>&1
